David N. Smith, MD, FACC, FACP
David N. Smith, MD is Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Yale University; Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; Associate Professor in the Division of Physician Assistant Studies at Wingate University; and he served as a former Board Director and Chair of Research for the Association of Black Cardiologists (ABC), Inc. He is a clinical trials investigator and invasive cardiologist in private practice with Premier Cardiovascular Care in Charlotte, NC. Before then, he practiced cardiology in the Novant Health Heart and Vascular Institute/Cleveland Clinic affiliated system which he joined in 2009. Dr. Smith attended the University of Connecticut before entering the UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Piscataway campus. He completed his residency training in Primary Care/Internal Medicine followed by an NIH T32 vascular fellowship in the molecular biology laboratory of Dr Jeffrey R Bender at Yale University. He completed a clinical cardiology fellowship thereafter and remained on clinical faculty as Instructor of Medical Education in the Department of Medicine, Primary Care Residency Program and West Haven VA Medical Systems. Today, he remains Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Department of Medical Education. Furthermore, he served as teaching attending in the UNC Family Practice Residency Program at CMC Union Regional Medical Center, Monroe, NC; past President, Union County Medical Society; and Chest Pain Center, Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) and Graduate Medical Education Committee member. He has received the NIH/NMA Fellows award, ABC/Merck Young Investigator Award, AMA Leadership Award and multiple recognitions from the ABC. Dr Smith is Fellow in the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Physicians.
Peter Fox, AGACNP-BC
Peter earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Vermont in Burlington, VT where he majored in Nursing. After working as a nurse for several years in an intensive care unit in his home state of New Hampshire, Peter returned to school to earn his Master’s degree in Nursing. Peter attended Northeastern University in Boston, MA where he graduated with honors. Since graduating, Peter has worked in multiple practice settings including internal medicine and the emergency room. After developing an interest in men’s health and hormone replacement, Peter joined the team at Low T Center and is now the center director in Pineville/Charlotte, NC.
