Special Help for Sleep Apnea at Leawood Low T Sleep Center
Depression, moodiness, fatigue and headaches are all symptoms associated with sleep apnea, a condition that causes frequent and brief interruptions in normal breathing patterns during sleep. These episodes often result in a lack of rest and increased risk of serious health conditions, like heart attack and stroke. The medical staff at Leawood Low T Sleep Center will perform a comprehensive and detailed men’s health assessment, as well as a simple home sleep test to determine if you have sleep apnea. Our team will then design a Leawood sleep apnea treatment plan customized for you.
Diagnosing Your Sleep Apnea Symptoms in Leawood
Some people suspect they have sleep apnea because they wake up several times each night gasping or choking, but many people with sleep apnea are unaware that their sleep is restless. They think they simply feel tired for no apparent reason and wonder why nothing seems to help.
After a health assessment, if we think you might have sleep apnea, we will give you a home sleep test. You can do a home sleep study in Leawood instead of having to wait for an appointment at a sleep clinic and spend a night in an unfamiliar and uncomfortable setting.
The sleep test is easy to conduct, and the equipment should not be disruptive to your sleep. It will automatically records data for our sleep apnea doctor in Leawood who will be able to review it and get results back to you quickly.
How We Treat Your Sleep Apnea in Leawood
We want a sleep apnea treatment plan that will work for you. This means that it needs to suit your health needs and your lifestyle. We’ll work with you to create this plan, which may include lifestyle changes and the use of a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) device to help you breathe at night and treat your sleep apnea.
For some people, weight loss, quitting smoking and other lifestyle changes might be sufficient to resolve the sleep apnea symptoms. Whether your sleep apnea is treated with lifestyle changes, with a CPAP or by a combination of the two, we will follow up to make sure that the sleep apnea treatment plan is working. At Low T Sleep Center in Leawood, our priority is solving your sleep issues, and we will continue to work with you and adjust your treatment plan as needed.
If you think sleep apnea may be causing your sleep problems or other symptoms, we are ready to help. Contact us by making an appointment online today at Leawood Low T Sleep Center.
