I have Central sleep apnea, which means basically that surgery and mouth guards won’t help. I have been told by Neurologist’s that the bi-pap is the only thing that can help. I found out I had sleep apnea four years ago when I continuously fell asleep at red lights on the way to work each day. I would get honked at, wake up go through the light and fall back asleep moment later. I had gotten eight to ten hours of sleep the night before, this was a scary time.I was so worried that I would hit a car or someone walking. The bi-pap machine has given me my life back, I smile and literally hug it when I am ready to go to sleep. I work seven days a week for a defense contractor now. I work 60-70 hours a week with 7-8 hrs sleep a night and I feel great. Yes I get tired, but I am working long hrs and I have two small children that’s normal. I am not falling asleep at the wheel. The machine is part of my life now and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I am thankful for the team at the Mansfield low t center and I look forward to seeing the smiling faces there each week. Thank you
