The treatment of hypogonadism is based on guidelines that define a lower limit of serum testosterone. However, because physicians and insurance companies have varying definitions of those levels, treatment coverage can be impacted. Low T Center studied patients to determine hormone levels and proposed another classification that can open the door for more patients to receive coverage.
